Program Details
Fall Program -- $175 ($100 for 1-day/week)
Beginning in September, the Kearney Matcats will run a “Fall/Preseason Program.” This program will be designed to get wrestlers a jump start on the upcoming season. This is intended for serious wrestlers with the expectation that wrestlers have had previous wrestling experience.

Ages: 6th-12th Grade (3rd-5th graders are allowed with previous wrestling experience)

Note: These practices will be geared toward a more experienced wrestler. New or Novice wrestlers are encouraged to join the Kearney Matcats Regular Season Program that begins in January.

Dates: Sept. 2nd to Nov. 11th | 11-Week Program

Pre-Season (PreK-2nd) - $50 if paired w/ Regular Season, $75 if only doing Pre-Season
The Pre-Season Program for PreK-2nd is for those wrestlers who have had at least one full season of experience (ideally 2 or more years) and want to get a jump start on the season. Practices will be run at the same time as the 3rd-8th graders, but will be separated within the room.

Competitive Season (3rd-8th) -- $225
The Competitive Season is for those wrestlers who have had previous wrestling experience (ideally 2 or more years) and are ready to take a jump in their training. These practices will be run at a faster pace and focus on a higher level of technique. INCLUDES Monday night practices from January to mid-March (NEUSA State) plus all regular season practices on Tuesday/Thursday. This is ideal for 7th/8th graders who enjoyed their middle school season and want to continue to jump levels and prepare for high school wrestling, as well as all 3rd-6th graders ready to take their wrestling to the next level.

Regular Season (PreK-2nd) -- $100
This program is ideal for all PreK-2nd graders with all levels of wrestling experience. At this level, we focus on learning the fundamentals of wrestling, including basic body movements, foundational wrestling moves, scoring, and, of course, having fun!

At this level, we continue to focus on learning the fundamentals of wrestling as well as start to incorporate some more advanced techniques and drills. These practices are designed with wrestlers of all skill levels in mind

Spring Program -- $175 ($100 for 1-day/week)
Beginning in March (After NEUSA State), the Kearney Matcats will now have a Spring Program.” This program will focus on all three styles of wrestling (Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman). Specifically, we will focus on how learning the “International Styles” of wrestling can make you a better folkstyle wrestler. This is intended for serious wrestlers with the expectation that wrestlers have had previous wrestling experience.
